This 3-day workshop combines lectures, case studies, class discussions and interactive exercises to develop and apply the fundraising strategies and skills necessary to start-up or build your organization’s contributed revenue.
H2Growth Strategies LLC principals Linda C. Hartley (MBA, Stern School-NYU) and Vivien Hoexter (MBA, Wharton School-UPENN) will conduct the workshop. The H2Growth Strategies team has partnered with over 100 non-for-profit organizations to raise over $ 1.5 billion to advance, support and sustain their programs and projects.
Hoexter and Hartley have co-authored a new book, Big Impact: Insights & Stories From America’s Non-Profit Leaders, after interviewing nearly 50 non-profit CEOs from across the United States, including international foundations such as the Ford Foundation and Rockefeller Brothers Fund. The authors share successful strategies for leadership, large-scale problem solving, and social change to inspire readers to lead and support causes in their own communities. ·      Kaplan Foundation Scholarships (partial or full coverage towards tuition, board and accommodation) will be available for individuals actively involved in the research, study and promotion of the sites of Corinth, Delos, Larisa and Olympia (excluding airfare/travel expenses and our Organization’s 2018 membership fee).
·      Heritage Management Organization scholarships will be available for applicants who do not qualify for the above mentioned scholarships (excluding airfare/travel expenses and our Organization’s 2018 membership fee).

Strategy is considered to be the queen of the managerial disciplines and a key success factor in all areas of human activity. In this respect, there are numerous examples of how a successful strategy can lead to success, even in cases where resources are limited and are not overwhelmingly superior to those of competitors.
This 3-day interactive course aims to provide the tools and methodologies to effectively address the topics of successful strategy formulation and implementation in organisations managing cultural heritage in the contemporary complex environment. At the end of the course, participants will be empowered to use methods and tools of strategic analysis to devise and evaluate alternative strategic choices, while they will comprehend the demands of a strategy implementation project.
The workshop’s instructor, Alexandros Papalexandris, is an Assistant Professor at the Athens University of Economics and Business and a former senior consultant at Deloitte, while he has more than 15 years’ research and consulting experience in the areas of strategy development and implementation.

Organizing Temporary Exhibitions from your Collection and Promoting them around the World

A 2 day workshop that focuses on how temporary exhibitions can enhance and promote the mission of a museum, create new audiences and generate revenue for an institution.
Starting with a look at building institutional strategy for exhibition making and partnership building, participants will explore the process behind making temporary exhibitions for display at home and internationally. This will include identifying exhibition objectives, shaping the narrative and content to create a compelling visitor experience as well as the practicalities of actually delivering a project in another country. The workshop will encourage a discursive approach and participants are welcome to bring their own ideas and projects to the table.
The workshop will be delivered by Rosie Wanek, Senior Exhibitions Manager at Somerset House, London, UK, who is specializing in exhibition development and delivery local and internationally.
